painting sketch
I'm just working on a series of paintings tracking my early morning footsteps walked with my loyal pooch Josh.
This quick sketch is proving to be a catalyst for some bigger works which I'm currently scamping out today. Working on a small scale focuses my mind and minimises the work before I tackle larger scaled artwork...the bold strokes and gestures along with lumps of colour help add the abstraction I'm seeking....often I'm not looking for detail just the mood, shapes and colour...so, less is more, more or less.
I hope to be showing the finished series in July along with countless other new works which I'm slavishly pooling together. So, watch this space!
