Well, ‘what a glorious weekend.’ My second week of the Open studios festival and a massive thank you to all that attended.
This has been without question my most successful yet, with an excellent footfall, hearty sales and most encouraging... receiving really positive feed back about my new work.
It’s fair to say a big effort was made to make this a success, being busy in the marketing department with some nice press coverage, poster drop and word of mouth recommendations. The catering department was a the real prize winner. Coffee maker and cake creator extraordinaire ‘Baker Boydy’...truly unflapjackable and stoic through and through. And takes a mean picture also! A big hug and a big thank you for your support. Creative whizzkiddery by http://www.typestart.co.uk/ Claire, Caroline and crew thanks for the help, laughs and mugs of tea. Rob and Jules http://www.ontheedge.co.uk for being patient and for making my work look half decent. To Michael Fish who supplied 5 rain free and occasionally sunny days. To Josh the dog who scoffed all the crumbs and didn’t embarrass me once by licking the parts that only dogs find tasty.... To Gill who supplied beautiful bloomage, to Sheilas’ shoes and Tea towel Trevor who have been smashing company, helpers movers, shakers and made 'week two' so much fun. To ‘rent a crowed, bouncer and match supplier’ Georgia...oh yes, and for being funny too. ‘Ta’ once again .... Alan and Cath for supplying fresh organic veg, especially the prize courgettes... ‘blimey, eye watering!!’ The lovely Mr Beltonian in Wellingborogh for his altruistic ways and to the hard working lot behind the OS Festival 09, ( a well organised and massive effort) Carolyn and crew, well done, brilliant stuff.
And finally, to the friendly people who came to say hello, spared time and joined in the fun...Thank you.
Well that’s it 'I’m done'....more soon.
best
