I'm well into my current project 'whilst walking by water' and above is a sketch of my next large scale painting. I often produce a small version of a work before I commit myself to hours of labour. Working small enables me to grasp the feel and show me the direction I wish to take a painting in. It's still a fluid and expressive process of final execution but 'it is' as is a lot of my work 'considered, studied, drawn and finished.' I'm looking forward to attacking this one!
