The day after the weekend before.. No2

Have had a terrific 'Open Studio' this weekend. The weather was indeed iffy but loads of new faces along with the ol faithful. A big thank you all who braved it. A thank you once again to Tara who is a host helper extraordinaire! A star appearance by Abigail, me ol chum Paul, whose wit, intelligence and charm helps things move along just nicely and... 'The Carrot Cake Queen' who wow'd folk with baking excellence... and finally huge cheer to the Hinxworth Blueberry Muff Champion 2013 for an outstanding display of muffins large and small and most gratefully received indeedy.  I've also scoffed far too many of em already, feeling fat but deeelicious! :-)

The final fling of this successful summer commences once again on the 20th-22nd and I'm looking forward to it very much.

So glad it went well.
This photo has just made me realise how much colour we miss out on in old books about artists long-gone. So many have lots of black-and-white home snaps, giving fascinating insights into their studio lives, but looking at this photo, because you show us lots of your work, I can visualise just how it would be in colour - glorious!
I tend to notice form rather than colour, so will try to work harder and be more colour-imaginative in future!

Thats an interesting comment TVA.. I agree with you.

Shape, tone and shadow do it for me.
